Kinrade

Who am i?

I’m William “Byll” Kinrade III, a UI/UX designer, game developer, and creative technologist passionate about building immersive and emotionally meaningful digital experiences. My background combines game design, visual storytelling, interactive media, and user-centered design, with a strong focus on creating systems that are both engaging and accessible.

I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in UI/UX design after earning an associate degree in game development, where I developed a deep interest in the relationship between player psychology, interface design, and interactive experience design.

My long-term goal is to work as a UX/UI specialist within the game industry, designing interfaces and interaction systems that strengthen immersion, improve usability, and create memorable player experiences.

Whether I’m building prototypes in Figma, developing systems in Unreal Engine, or designing full creative concepts from the ground up, I approach every project with a balance of technical structure, creativity, and human-centered design thinking.

My Most Recent Project

Percepta XR is a companion application designed to support a multi-sensory extended reality (XR) experience focused on altered perception and empathy-building. Inspired by perceptual disorders such as schizophrenia, the project explores how visual, auditory, tactile, and environmental sensory inputs can dramatically influence a user’s understanding of reality.

Rather than attempting to build the XR simulation itself, the project focused on designing the user experience layer that controls, guides, and supports the immersive environment. The result is a structured XR companion interface that allows users to safely configure sensory intensity, access accessibility options, navigate the experience, and reflect afterward.

The project was developed as part of a Multi-Sensory Design course and evolved through iterative Agile-style design phases over the course of four weeks.
